VIRTUAL EXPERIMENTS

Set-Up Description

Figure shows the general arrangement for carrying out the experiment. The compound pendulum is supported at one of its ends onto a knife edge.

Procedure for calculating time period:

1. Enter the values in Calculate Result tab.
2. Press the Calculate button.

Procedure for performing Practical:

1. Support the compound pendulum onto a knife edge.
2. Note the length of the pendulum, and determine its Centre of Gravity (G).
3. Allow the bar to oscillate and determine the time taken in seconds (t) for some number of oscillations (n).

4. Enter the values in Compare Results tab.
5. Press Verify.
